Fibrous Cone
If I suck it in and stretch to fit
All inside, reaching high
As much as I can . . .
But these prickly layers
And stockinged gams
Relinquish my doltish title
And render me fine and
Worth pining for
2023 - Porcelain, polymer clay, wax, coarse fiber
Card Information
This piece belongs to the Anomalies collection as noted by the orange text. In the initial run of 4000 cards, there were 150 of this card made making it an uncommon card. (Indicated by the silver star)
The poem on this card was written by Terri Lambrix.
There were 5 signed versions of this card in random packs as well.
018-1 Fibrous Cone - Holographic Variant
There is a variant of this card which has a foil/holographic front with the same image depicted above. There were only 75 of these made making it a rare card as indicated by the gold star.
I do not include images of the foil cards on here as the camera does not play nice with the reflective surface and the images do not look good. The cards however are pretty nice and you should absolutely try to get one.
This page is primarily accessible through the QR code on the card you collected. My intention for each of these pages is to journal or chronicle the events and details around this particular sculpture. In a sense, the card functions as a key to unlocking the life or narrative around this piece. If the piece is sold or collected, shown in a new venue, damaged or destroyed, or if I begin to develop other narratives around this work, I would detail those things here. When these updates occur, I will post about them in my newsletter or you can check back occasionally for updates and information.
